Today I continued stripping the car of miscellaneous parts. I started by drilling out all the rivets of little badges and accessories on parts that are going to get painted. This included the ARC badge on the radiator support, the Mugen badge on the lip, and the DZUS fasteners on the bumpers. I also removed the splitters and canards from the bumpers, as those will not be getting painted. I then decided to remove all the moldings and weatherstripping from the doors and trunk. I was quite surprised how much was on there. Each door had two trims, and 3 different weatherstrippings around it. Removing these will allow the painters to spray everything and not risk any overspray on the moldings. I also removed the side moldings from the car.
